Thank you for your continued engagement and support of community governance. Recently, the community put forward a governance proposal regarding the remaining FC tokens, which sparked meaningful discussion and active participation across various channels.
Currently, the total supply of FC is capped at 21 million, with approximately 17.48 million tokens have already been distributed, leaving about 3.52 million still held in the treasury. Based on community feedback, the Foundation has decided to implement the following plan:
The Foundation will mint the remaining ~3.52 million FC tokens, convert them to CFX through a one-way swap, and permanently disable the FC minting authority. This process will be completed promptly, with full on-chain verification provided upon completion.
In the future, when new Conflux governance proposals are introduced, the community can participate by first conducting an internal vote using FC. The Foundation will then delegate its staked voting power in the on-chain governance process in accordance with the results of that vote. Staking rewards generated will be used to support testnet operations, incentivize community contributors, and fund other community-benefiting efforts. Any surplus generated throughout the year will be restaked, continuing to participate in Conflux Governance voting.
